Policy Design for Fog computing in Optical Access Networks
Research Project Summary: Modern technologies such as 5G, IoT, call for introduction of new computing paradigms such as Fog computing and Mobile Edge Computing. Establishing such paradigms in existing access networking platforms would involve proposing new architectures, protocols and economic policies which allow common users to extend their current choice of services. My research aims at theoretical modeling and algorithm design for the same.
Student Profile: I completed my undergraduate from NIT Durgapur in Electronics and Communication engineering. I completed my Masters from IIT Kharagpur in Telecommunication Systems Engineering and am presently pursuing PhD from IIT Kharagpur and UoM under MIPA program. My subjects of interest are Optimization and Game theory, Algorithms and Computer networks.
